About me

According to the VIA Survey of Character Strengths (www.viasurvey.org), I am fair, open-minded, curious, merciful and a leader.

From a more conventional perspective, I trained and worked as a lawyer from 1984 to 1999 and then again from 2005 to 2010.

I have also built my skills as a manager particularly since 1994 as I have wanted to contribute to justice and fairness in a practical manner rather than just as an advocate.

In my search for practical solutions, I have learned to appreciate policy development and research that is considered but open to challenge. This search has taken all over Australia and the Asia Pacific including a year in China.

I love working with communities - discovering how they work and their strengths - and if the opportunity arises helping them to solve problems along the way.
